11th Hour Racing
Damian Foxall has 36 years of experience in the ocean and dinghy racing industry. He has spent most of his life competing on the water, during that time he logged 400,000 nautical miles as a professional racing sailor and has participated in 20+ Trans-Atlantics, 10 round the world races, and is a holder of numerous World Records.
Damian has compered in 6 editions of the Volvo Ocean Race (winning in 2011), 3 editions of the Transat Jacques Vabre, and has won the Barcelona World Race (2008), the Transat Quebec to St. Malo (2004), the Archipelago Raid (2006), and was the 1st rookie in the Solitaire du Figaro (1997). World Record include outright Round the World record holder (2003), Round Britian and Ireland Record (2014) and Current Round Ireland record (2016).
Damian’s experience in the marine industry ranges from project management to offshore sailing roles across a range of events, most recently working with Vestas 11th Hour Racing as both a sailor and sustainability manager. This work brought together his sailing career with his work as a marine consultant and ambassador for the Candian Wildlife Federation, the Broad Reach Foundation for Youth, Sailors for the Sea, Sea Synergy, and the Great Candian Shoreline Cleanup.
Damian is also the co-author of the book Ocean Fever and is a regular speaker for business, education and media platforms in both English and French.
