Roger Brydges

Roger has sailed all his life and has worked for the UK Government’s Marine Accident Investigation Branch for the past 25 years. He has been an integral part of most of the MAIB’s investigations involving racing yachts during that time including the keel failures on the Max Fun 35 Hooligan V and the Beneteau First 40.7 Cheeki Rafiki, as well as the four separate accidents that involved the Clipper Round the World fleet in the 15-16 and 17-18 editions of the race. The MAIB is based in Southampton and investigates accidents involving UK vessels of all types anywhere in the world, and vessels of all nationalities in UK waters.
