Erik Berzins

Erik Berzins has been a lifelong sailor and inventor, and has been able to turn those passions into a career at Morrelli & Melvin.

With a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, Erik specializes in project management, yard integration, structural design, performance optimization and sailing ergonomics. Erik’s been at M&M for over 15 years, and has helped the company grow and evolve to become one of the top performance multihull design firms around. The team at M&M are fortunate to be able to take the lessons learned over five America’s Cup campaigns and incorporate those advancements into all sorts of other vessels, power and luxury sailing cats included. Erik continues to race as a bowman with clients around the world, primarily racing offshore or around the islands, helping customers get the most out of their boats and closing the design loop to ensure the next boat out of the office is better than the last.
