François Bopp

François is a 61-year-old Swiss entrepreneur, based in Bulgaria, active mainly in the Medtech sector. He is also a passionate sailor and boat owner.

After many years mainly racing on lake Geneva where his “OUTSIDER” team took part in many races, he built up the CHOCOLATE Racing team with a team a young Bulgarians. After having won all the Bulgarian races in line honours and corrected time with a Farr 40, he bought a Farr 52 and took part in races in the Med, finishing 4^th overall in the 2022 Rolex Giraglia, 2^nd in class in the 2022 Rolex Middle Sea race, 1^st in class in the 2023 Rolex Middle Sea Race, winner of the Coastal Race overall, 3^rd overall in the 2024 Aegean 600, winner overall of the Coastal Race as well.

He had the honour to welcome professional sailors like Bouwe Bekking and Steve Hayles to coach his young team.
