Matthew Morin

Matthew Morin is the Co-Founder, along with his brother, Kevin, of MarkSetBot, the world’s first robotic race buoy. Matthew is a lifelong sailor with thousands of miles of open water racing experience and 25 years of dinghy racing in the International Lightning Class. He is a member of the Society of Old Goats (25+ races completed) for the annual Bayview Port Huron to Mackinac Race.

Matthew is a serial entrepreneur who has co-founded and lead six businesses (all with Kevin) in industries ranging from information technology, to real estate development, and restaurant management. MarkSetBot is their first foray into blue technology. MarkSetBot’s patented technology has been used in 39 different countries by more than 250 different organizations and has nearly 50,000 days on the water. In just the past year, MarkSetBot has served some of the biggest events in the sailing world including: SailGP, The America’s Cup, The Pan American Games, and the 52 SUPER SERIES. Under the GolfShotBot, AquaticBot and RoboBuoy brands, the Bots are also being used for golf recreation, beach safety applications, marine observation (both above and below the water), and military missions.
