Chief of Events, World Sailing

Alastair Fox

Alastair Fox is the Director of Events at World Sailing, having developed within the organisation over the course of 15 years.

A former professional sailor, he joined World Sailing as Events Manager in 2007 and served as a Technical Delegate for the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games, 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships in Perth, Australia, and supported the wide range of World Sailing activities including the Sailing World Cup, Events Committee, Racing Rules Committee and Athletes Commission.
In 2012, he became Head of Events and was appointed Technical Delegate for the London 2012 Olympic Games, Santander 2014 Sailing World Championships, Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games, and, in 2016, Director of Events at World Sailing.
In the six years since, he has worked with key stakeholders across the sport to deliver the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, Aarhus 2018 Sailing World Championships and Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games, as well as World Sailing events around the world.
