Antonio Alquézar is the CEO and Team Principal of the Los Gallos Spain SailGP Team, where he has led one of the most remarkable transformations in professional sailing — taking the Spanish team from last place in the standings to becoming SailGP World Champions in just one season.

With over 25 years of international experience across sports, investment, marketing, and brand strategy, Tony began his professional career at the International Olympic Committee and has since held senior positions with the America’s Cup, Formula 1 Valencia Street Circuit, BasicNet Group (Kappa, Superga, K-Way), Redstone, and National Geographic Retail, among others. He has also served on several boards, including Córdoba CF, and advised leading corporations and investment groups in sectors such as sports, luxury, retail, innovation, and sustainability.

In recent years, Tony has worked closely with investment funds on the acquisition and management of international sports properties, bringing together his expertise in commercial strategy, brand development, and asset value creation.

Through his leadership, the Los Gallos Spain SailGP Team has become a symbol of innovation, resilience, and excellence — helping to position both the team and Spain among the world’s elite in high-performance sailing.
