Solo offshore sailor, live from the Vendée Globe
Conrad Colman
Conrad Colman is a New Zealand – American solo offshore racing sailor based in France. After working his way through the French offshore classes; Mini, Figaro, Class 40, IMOCA, he then in 2016 completed the Vendée Globe, his third race around the world. After dismasting 800 miles before the finish line, Conrad built a jury rig and became the first sailor to finish the race without a mast and 100% renewable energy. He continues to innovate in offshore green tech, promoting a cleaner and more responsible industry, all while currently at sea competing in the Vendée Globe.
