We are pleased to announce that the draft Yacht Racing Forum 2017 conference programme is online.
The schedule takes into account feedback from our delegates: the conference still focuses on the sports’ latest developments but also integrates mainstream sailing, the promotion of youth sailing, women in the sport and essential information for clubs, classes and event organizers.
Design & Technology Symposium
Thanks to its increasing success, the Design & Technology Symposium will take place in a bigger conference room. The event will be structured better, with a clearer distinction between topical presentations and panel discussions.
The sports’ leading designers, engineers and technicians will help us understand the latest developments and innovations within yacht racing, including the latest technology from the America’s Cup, Vendée Globe and Ultime Class; safety innovations, foils and flying boats, rigid sails and new materials.
Risk Management & Safety conference
The sport of sailing has changed dramatically over the past years, with faster boats that can be a real source of concern for event organizers, yacht clubs and classes.
The conference will discuss this major issue and propose concrete solutions. Our specialists will also offer useful advice in crisis management, present new safety equipment, and focus on legal and risk issues around team operations and event organiser liability.
